Feb 4, 2007 12:38pm: ok, i'm going to admit that i rented Pirates this weekend (the r-rated version, i generally try to avoid the scary back room at the video stores, only because of the sketchy men that leer at a girl in the scary back room). why? i don't know, perhaps because i'd had a couple of beers with the workmates after work and it seemed like a good idea. also, i was curious to see such a high budget porn (which, of course, as it was r-rated version had no actual porn. just a few glimpses). it's hilarious. i recommend it as perhaps a night out with the girls, or the guys, with alcohol involved. it's not a SEXY movie (because all the good parts are edited out) but it's amusing in that it has a SUPER high budget and some god-awful porn star acting (especially jesse jane. she really weirds me out. she's your stereotypical porn star, but kind of looks...special needs sometimes. her mouth is *always* hanging open, in more like a "i can't breathe properly" way than a sexy way). there are some awesome (for a porn movie) special effects, and evan stone is SO convincing as a pirate *note: sarcasm*. i'd actually be interested in seeing the XXX rated version, just to see what all they cut out. the r-rated version is available at your local video store folks, free from the scary back room.
