Jul 18, 8:39pm: i spent my friday night shopping for car seats and a nursing pillow called "my breast friend". seriously.

nothing screams "i'm single" like driving around town with a giant car seat box in your front seat and a breast feeding pillow in the back.

my friends are fucking breeding like rabbits.

the other day, my friend and i were out for lunch when she went "oh my GOD. there's a giant STAPLE in my sandwich". sure enough, this long metal wire was in her sandwich. they offered to take it back but she said "whatever. i found it, it's all good. i'll keep eating." she didn't even get a free damn sandwich.

5 minutes later she realized her permanent retainer had broken off and that's what she had nearly eaten.

our farmer's market here has diminished in size. why? because the regional health department came in and insisted on some new, ridiculous regulations. every cookie has to be wrapped in plastic. well, since the market bakery sells about 1000 cookies a weekend, that's 1000 cookies they have to pay staff to wrap, and 1000 cookies worth of clingwrap to wrap them in. the sausage guy has to have a refrigeration truck. well, he's a guy. who makes sausages. they're tasty, and local, and natural. they're a big hit, and most of the reason husbands accompany wives to the market.

i'm sick of government stepping in and trying to protect us from ourselves. and i'm sick of people suing because they won't take responsibility for their actions that force government to step in to protect fuckwads from themselves.
