i'm gonna kill time before procrastinating some more.
my vacation #2 was great, though the weather sucked ass. i not only got to spend a lot of time with my family, my niece, the cabin and my friends, but i actually got to spend some time outside. i did a lot of work out at the cabin (we got a new john deere riding mower. yahoo! my small town roots came out big time) and played a LOT of fetch with my brother's dogs. i learned that not only can olive the wonder lab launch her fat ass off the dock pretty far when chasing a stick, she's too lazy to swim around to shore and get out - she waits for you to put a rope in the water, then she bites on and you pull her up onto the dock. it's a pretty awesome trick, i'd have to say. friends from university came up for the wedding (he was a university friend who moved to my hometown) so they got to experience tasha's small town-ness too. oh - and we had some northern lights. that always completes my trip.
(dad's jacket, dad's boots. brother's sweatshirt. i was unprepared. two drinks though.)
now i'm back, t-4 days until my big 3-1. the weather is promising to cooperate for my planned river float with the rubber ducky beer barge, think happy blue, sunny skies thoughts.
