i just got a message from this girl i met in cambodia from california. she's awesome, and i could seriously see myself visiting her in san francisco one day.
i only KNOW know two people from california besides her, an ancient great uncle and his ancient wife. they're pretty pretentious but they're totally fucking loaded so they can be.
what i find interesting is that i met this guy from texas who hated people from california. he totally and completely despised them. i, on the other hand, hadn't met a texan i liked until him. (well, to be fair, i'd met only two. and they were both dicks but it wasn't because they were texans, it was because they were dicks.) he wasn't actually a born and bred texan though. but anyway, the point of this long winded story is this:
the texan turned out to be a total dick, and i've yet to meet a californian i don't like.
go figure.
SIDE NOTE: this doesn't mean i don't like texans. i just hate matthew mcconaughey and his stupid shirtless self, the irritating texan i was stuck on a road trip with for 3 days and the texan mentioned above. but i know lovely texans exist. i'm just sayin' - don't judge people based on where they're from.
unless they're from alberta.
haha.
