http://bestpicsaround.com/pic-282-From-egg-to-chick; when i was a kid, we got eggs from my grandparents farm. they were brown. once, i cracked an egg, and out came a teeny baby chicken embryo. i was traumatized. until about 7 years ago, i would not eat a brown egg. now you can't find me eating a white egg. i still get the heebeejeebees when i get a blood spot in the yolk, but being ultra paranoid about baby chickens in my frying pan i googled it, and apparently it's when the chicken blows a blood vessel when the egg is forming. i'm pretty sure even free run egg places have rules and regulations about roosters and fertilization, but you just never know.
