i drove this highway for work once. i was in ross river doing some wildlife surveys, and we drove this highway back. "highway" is a term used loosely here - it's basically a hard packed dirt road, and we saw 2 other vehicles in about 6 hours. we ALSO saw caribou and bear. the yukon territory, i believe, is canada's best kept secret. i've seen a good chunk of the southern portion either by helicopter, raft or vehicle, and i think if you were going to spend a month in july anywhere on earth, you'd get your best value here.
